AZ Carry Concealed Weapon CCW Renewal Classes

Mandatory 2 hour CCW renewal classes will be held every month.
The earliest a CCW permit holder can take the CCW renewal class is 6 months or sooner before the permit expires.  Once the renewal class has been taken, the renewal permit application can not be sent in until 3 months or sooner from the permit expiration date. If the CCW permit expires, the person has within 60 days after it expires to get the CCW renewal class completed and the certified CCW renewal application to the AZ DPS CCW office in Phoenix. If the CCW renewal application is received in the DPS offices after 60 days from the CCW permit expiration date, the CCW renewal application will be returned informing the person they have to take the full 16 hour course all over again. Everyone who has a current CCW permit including those who were previously exempt from the 16 hour class must take the CCW renewal class if they intend on having their CCW permit renewed.  The EFTC CCW Renewal class fee will be $25.00.   The AZ DPS CCW Renewal permit fee for 4 more years is $65.00 payable to AZ DPS.  A completed finger print card must be sent in with the renewal application and fee if it is going to be accepted by AZ DPS.

Please keep in mind that this class will take slightly longer than 2 hours as it is a 30 minutes round trip to the range near Whetstone.  Before the firing range qualification, there is a range safety briefing called "Range Safety and Protocol".  Range Safety and Protocol has helped to keep the range qualification, SAFE!

If you are interested in taking this class, you can Pre-register and then REGISTER on this web page, or call the Instructor, Bill Simotti in Sierra Vista, AZ at  520-458-8571 not earlier than one week before class starts and no later than the day before the class.  If you pre-register, you will get a phone call within a few days before the class date.
